A KTEC Innovation Initiative
KTEC PIPELINE and Youth Entrepreneurs Kansas (YEK) have collaborated on a partnership connecting the PIPELINE to future entrepreneurs.
PIPELINE 2 PIPELINE will connect PIPELINE Innovators and mentors to entrepreneurial motivated students and educate them on opportunities in technology, science, mathematics and engineering.
PIPELINE Innovators and mentors will create partnerships with YEK students in several ways including:
- Mentoring
- E-Mentoring
- Guest speaking to classes
- Business plan advisement
- Tours of their businesses
- Job shadowing
- Internships
PIPELINE 2 PIPELINE was created to encourage young people to consider building their own business through entrepreneurship as well as pursuing careers in technology and science related fields. This innovative program will help young people understand that careers in technology and science provide them with a viable and exciting future.
This partnership between KTEC PIPELINE and YEK is about education, serving to engage and enlighten students on career options in these innovative fields and working to expand opportunities for our future leaders.

About YEK
YEK teaches free enterprise fundamentals through hands-on experiences and encourages students to start their own business, enhance their business skills for future career opportunities and continue into higher education. During the class, each student writes a business plan, participates in classroom competitions, and receives school credit for successfully meeting class completion requirements.
