PIPELINE Mentors
PRIMARY MENTORS :
PROGRAM MENTORS :
The PIPELINE is guided by a host of entrepreneurial and business experts, as well as state and local resource providers, assisting in developing and promoting the program, determining criteria and mentoring participants.
PIPELINE Innovators receive additional guidance from mentors in the industry from Kansas and across the nation. Each Innovator is matched with a primary mentor who is technology or biosicence orientated, has proven himself/herself in the industry and is fully able to coach, advise and direct a PIPELINE Innovator. The mentor's responsibility is to act as a coach and sounding board for the Innovator and not be the sole source of knowledge for all of the Innovator's issues.
Additionally, five program or "floating" mentors have been working with various Innovators on special issues that require additional assistance. This mentor "swat team" approach was added during the 2008 fellowship to allow additional mentors involvement in the program.
"The mentorship component of the PIPELINE is where the true magic happens," said Joni Cobb, PIPELINE President & CEO . "After intensive work at the modules, the real world perspective of these top entrepreneurs and advisors provides the motivation and confidence to put these lessons into practice. The energy in the room as they work together is inspiring for everyone."
