Cason Coplin is President of EcoFit Lighting, a Lenexa based company that designs, manufactures and markets high-output LED streetlights. Cason founded the company while an Executive in Residence at the Enterprise Center of Johnson County, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2002.

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Cason was Vice President at TransUnion, a leading global provider of consumer credit reporting data, custom analytics and decision support services for corporations in the financial services, insurance, health care and communications industries. He also held several executive positions at Sprint/Nextel Corporation spanning product development, marketing strategy and finance operations.

Cason began his career as a consultant with Environ International Corporation, specializing in operational and financial risk management of industrial facilities for multinational corporations in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and automotive industries. He was an Operations Researcher with the Lower Colorado River Authority, a public utility serving Central Texas.

Cason holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration.
