The PIPELINE announced its class for 2009 and recognized the 2008 Innovators and their mentors at its premier “Innovator of the Year” event where Kansas, regional and national entrepreneur, policy and innovation leaders converged in Overland Park on January 22, 2009.
The third-year class of Innovators represents a cross-section of high potential technology and bioscience entrepreneurs from across the state who hope to follow in the successful footsteps of the 2008 class and build the Kansas of Tomorrow through growth of technology companies in Kansas.
The PIPELINE nurtures and encourages early-state technology based entrepreneurs in their early career phases – and demonstrates a path for success here in Kansas.
Innovators will spend one year in the technology entrepreneurship fellowship. During this year, the Innovators will receive expert assistance with their businesses, cutting edge education, skill building and networking, as well as access to accomplished mentors. The PIPELINE will also connect the Innovators to investors who have capabilities of financing early stage technology companies.
