PIPELINE - Leaders for the Kansas Innovation Economy

In today's fast-paced economy, we can't always wait for innovative and successful entrepreneurs to "come out of the woodwork." We have to nurture them and encourage them in their early career phases – and demonstrate a path for success here at home. That's where the PIPELINE comes in.

No statewide model existed anywhere else in the country, so we created our own model to reach these high potential Kansans. We immediately struck a chord with entrepreneurs across the state.

Beginning in 2007, the program has supported a select group of Kansas' early state technology entrepreneurs and immersed them in a comprehensive coaching, mentoring, networking and training effort. Our purpose is to nurture the next generation of Kansas entrepreneurs and to help build a stronger innovation infrastructure across the state to sustain them over the long-term. 

We have been grateful that so many entrepreneurs, investors, resource providers, policy leaders, national experts and local businesses have rallied around this program and its promise for Kansas. We thank each one of you and your organizations for recognizing how important the PIPELINE program and participants are to Kansas' economy. The program is stronger for your participation and enthusiasm - and our entrepreneurs are much better prepared to tackle the exciting and competitive road ahead.

So we encourage you to look at what we are doing, become a part of our work and build the Kansas of Tomorrow through our best state asset - our capable, tenacious and creative entrepreneurs.

It's critical work at a critical time for Kansas - and for the country.
